NOESIS Academy: A Place Where Young People Turn Ideas into Projects

The NOESIS Academy program is currently being implemented at InCOR – Innovation Center for Sustainable Development of the City of Bijeljina, providing young people with an opportunity to develop critical and creative thinking while working on ideas that can improve their local community through innovation and technology.

A Program for Innovation and Idea Development

The NOESIS Academy is organized by Neos Hub Bijeljina. The program is led by innovation consultant and educator Nermin Zejnilović, while Tamara Đurić participates as an assistant mentor.

The partner of the program is the Department for Local Economic Development and European Integration of the City of Bijeljina, which supports initiatives aimed at empowering young people, encouraging innovation, and strengthening entrepreneurial thinking within the local community.

Workshops at InCOR

The workshops are being held at InCOR, and the program is currently attended by 20 young participants, mainly final-grade primary school students and high school students.

During February and March 2026, four interactive workshops were organized. Through the design thinking methodology, participants learned how to:

  • identify problems in their community
  • ask the right questions
  • develop creative ideas
  • create the first prototypes of solutions

This approach allows young people to learn through practice while developing entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving skills.

Artificial Intelligence as a Learning Tool

One of the distinctive elements of the program is the use of artificial intelligence as a learning tool.

With the support of mentors, participants are developing their own AI model that helps them analyze problems, generate ideas, and structure their creative thinking.

This enables young people to become familiar with modern technologies and acquire knowledge that is increasingly important in education, innovation, and the future labor market.

Presentation of Final Projects

The NOESIS Academy program will last until the end of April 2026, when participants will present their final projects focused on improving the local community.

These projects represent the result of collaboration between participants and mentors, as well as the practical application of knowledge gained during the workshops.

Through programs like this, young people in Bijeljina gain the opportunity to develop their ideas, acquire new skills, and actively contribute to building a more innovative and progressive community.
